“Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to act. Do not say to your neighbor, "Come back tomorrow and I’ll give it to you" - when you already have it with you.”

For more than 5 years, we have been investing in Brazil – helping to support pastors, plant and build churches, as well as serve the local communities there as an expression of our heart for missions not just locally, but also around the world and across generations.

We are always looking for ways to deepen our impact, and in this particular area of Brazil, we quickly saw that partnering with an organization such as Compassion International’s child sponsorship program, to support children in Brazil living in poverty, would be an amazing opportunity to go deeper.

For just $38 per month, one child sponsorship covers a child’s education, health screening, nutritional care and the assurance that EVERY child will be known, cared for, and loved. Through a relationship with a local church and caring sponsor, a child is able to discover his or her true value. As you exchange letters, send photos, and offer encouragement, your love will bring hope to a child that will last a lifetime.

This is also a different kind of sponsoring experience. Other organizations typically have you look at names and faces of children on physical packets, almost like choosing a child you’d want to sponsor.

When you Click the button you will see children that are receiving care from the churches in Brazil that Echo helped to start. These are the children we want to sponsor as a church!

EVERY one of these children are precious, loved by God and in desperate need. Please join Echo in sponsoring one of these children today!

Jose's story: When pain cannot wait

The COVID pandemic has overwhelmed Brazil’s health system, so when Jose presented pretty bad stomach pain, he was simply given medicine and sent home. When his pain worsened, his desperate parents took him to the compassion’s church partner, where a doctor diagnosed him with appendicitis and organized urgent surgery.
"Jose's situation was very critical, when he came to the project, he already had signs of infection and, due to the delay of the treatment, had some complication during the surgury. If we have not diagnosed Jose in time, he would have a generalized infection and could have died," said Dr Claudia.
"I don't know what I would do if we didn't have the project support. We would continue to seek help from hospitals, but I know my son could die without help." Erison, Jose's Father
"My father is out of a job because of the pandemic, so everything had become more difficult. However, my sponsor sent me a gift to buy food, and that helped us," said Jose."The project is helping my family a lot at this tough time for us. I am very grateful to the project for not having left me alone or ignore my pain even in the pandemic."
